Looking for HD tire chains

I'm looking for something heavier and hopefully longer lasting than the "Vee bar" chain for the LT 265/70R17 tire can anyone recommend something.

We use these pewag square link chains for our work trucks and they work great for snow as well as rocky/muddy trails on our Suburban 2500 4x4s and F450 4x4s. Hundreds of miles combined highway and off-road use

Thank you for the link, they look exactly like what we are looking for, now I just have to find them in Canada. My son just broke two cross chains on the weekend and tore out a rear brake line as well as some body damage, hopefully these will prevent that happening again.

we even use some on our 10k sno-cat trailers and they don't break like passenger car chains or cables.

I'm not having any luck finding those Pewag chains in Canada. It seems the US factory is the outlet for the whole of North America. I may have to wait until we are down there in the summer to buy some and bring them back with us. I'll continue to look but not holding my breath.

If you want something even stronger, try tirechains.com they have the square link cross chains and the twist link with "V" pieces welded to them. Pretty good on ice and off road. Very hard on dry pavement.

We are breaking the Vee style chains we are using now. I will look at the square style ones you talk about but the contact Grand Geek gave is a local one so no shipping. Also the research I did on the Pewag chains seemed very good. I just haven't managed to actually talk with the local sales rep yet, this just reminded me. Thanks. That's the thing with tire chains, they are not important until you need them and there's a snow fall warning out right now and my son has a rig move this weekend.
