DTR Breakroom and Janitors Closet 02.07.10-02.13.10

Evening all, got the new one started. Got some 3 day old sludge in the pot, fresh ph00, tea, and some stale donuts.

I will add that I hit a deer doing 50mph on my sled last weekend, and survived with only 125$ in damage, so I'm a happy camper. Hit it square in the belly, had plastic hanging out of it when it ran off.

ok, time to clean that stuff out! even respectable iguanas wouldn't touch it...

deisel sniffer blend on for the night shift; Fiver Bob and I get chocolate cherry coffee (not too sweet and no bite!) making tortilla pizzas for those who come in from the cold.

a beautiful night here- 2 above and 3 mile an hour breeze. miss my sled dogs, for it would be a glorious run!!!

got some packing to do, watching the weather for flight cancellations and making food for the Super game! got to put the blade on the tractor for son to plow while we are gone, pile of wood near the boiler for him to stoke it.

glad i DO NOT run the towing company anymore!!!! my recliner and a book even beat the memories of going out at 3AM to lay in antifreeze,or a drunk, welfare idiot who ran out of gas and wants a free ride home. (police calls, you have to do it) I stopped that practice by dropping the vehicle and operator off at the nearest repair facilty, not mine. satisfied the laws. slept like a baby. let them run the country for they sure know how to beat any system to their advantage.

Evenin' All!

Thanks for the coffee tonight Heidi! Gonna need a cup or twelve...... Been up since 1130. Oldest kid's Birthday party was this afternoon. Good time. Went swimming at the pool with the waterslides then had pizza and cake/ice cream. She's turning 8 on Wed.

All of you with the snow , I'm jealous. We could really use some snow up here...... Barely enough to snowmaching with so far this year in these parts........

Acting Supervisor ststus kicked in about 2.5 hours ago. So far so good, just about everyone on the shift asked to go home early........ figures.......

heheh GOOD! remind them that you could send them home, but the wives will hate the shorter paycheck.

interesting about the trip transport stuff. is this for day to day medical trips or routine transfers to another jail. do you even have another jail?
I did 'trips' (medical, Court, funerals, sick visits) for five years. my partner was like my second husband. taught trip transport at the state academy, fun times.
new york state also has three buses that are transfer only. serious times on that bus. sneeze and they shoot. that is all they do and no substitutions.

yes, alaskaman, we can send you some snow. turn off the artic air vents!!!

no oil problem, just a 1940 plymouth motor that had oil lines inside the motor. I want to redo the motor first, then body work the cab and panels. hate to see it rot. motor needed the lines put in.

if i rember right on the older engines they often added outside oil lines - if they couldnt clean out the originals !
have to think about it as i rember they would put aT in at oil pump , then run copper lines up outside of engine to valve cover and do it that way .
ya nead to post a pict of the 1940 plymoth pick up

They know I can't send them home, no good bluffing with that one..... Minimum manning stuff....... It was all in good fun anyways.

Transport is for medicals, funerals and return to custody issues , hunting escapees off grounds (if that ever happens......) and prison transfers. Nearest prison is 350 miles away...... We also trasfer to contract facilities out of state. Company in Colorado currently has the contract. We also help out the Marshals up here as well as the State Troopers.

Evening all. Mom have a great trip, don't forget the slippers and flip flops. Have a big ol umbrella drink for all us!!!

Can't wait to see the pick of the plymouth. Reminds me of my grand dad, he drove one of the first model T trucks in Leadville delivering oil to all the mines. Little later he used to 'deliver' cars from Leadville down to Denver, then drive an empty one back. Never asked what was in the trunk. That was in the 20's I'll let your imagination do the rest. It was fun to listen to those old stories.

Mornin' All!

Kinda quiet in here last night...... OK it's been dead in here for 5 hours.

Fresh pot of sludge is mutating in the reactor. Someone pushed the button and fired it up again, might as well use it.

Morning all from Paradise. Feel bad for all of you living on the east coast, but it is for reasons like the weather you are presently experiencing that I escaped and now live and where I have not seen snow in years. Love it. Yesterday I saw frost on my car for the first time in four years, but it was gone by 9 a.m. That's about as cold as I want thank you. The sun is now up on yet another cloudless day.

Heidi, enjoy your stay in Cozumel. Introduced my wife to scuba diving at Cancun and Cozumel. Too bad you could not make a diversion on your way home and drop in for a visit to Paradise.

I see that the break room is deteriorating by the week. Now we are relegated to the janitors closet. It stinks in here! Or is that just a normal Sasquatch and dragon smell? There is more than a hint of a sulfur smell here. Is there a law I am not aware of here at DTR that prohibits fresh coffee and doughnuts less than a few hours old?
