Truck died on stop
As I was going up a hill (in 2wd) I saw the 4WD light flash on the dash. So I immediately pulled over. When I came to a complete stop (keeping it in drive) I put it in 4 High. and it just died. Could someone tell me what I should look for? and why this might have happened?
I have a 2001 Dodge Cummins 2500 24v with a 6 in lift. New oil change. I was not towing anything.

Do you know for certain that you have fuel in the tank? It is common for the fuel level sending unit to go bad. Before we go too far into diagnostics, let's start with the simple stuff. Dump in a jerry can of fuel and see if that helps. I suppose you might have to bleed the fuel system if you ran it out. The other thing is to check for any diagnostic trouble codes.
