Idle weird

Today I was idling with AC on and EB on in high idle, when I turned the high idle off it sounded like the EB was on and would only come down to 900 rpm. As soon as I stepped on the brake the idle went to normal, but if I let off of it the rpms would go back to 900. I turned it off and back on 5 mins later and it idled back up to 900 then quit about 3 mins later and all seemed normal. It acted like it was a cold weather idle, but it was 83 when this happen. Thanks

Mounted in the intake horn is a pressure/temp sensor which installs with a single screw, it's probably plugged completely with carbon, a new one is about $50 if it's uncleanable.

Don't quote me I'm not near as knowledgeable on the 6.7 as the 5.9 but I thought I had heard if the conditions are met and your truck is in Regen it will idle up to create more heat on its own. Now we know it will when it's cold on its own, but this is a different matter to help with the regen process not ambient temp related. I wouldn't worry about it.

Mone does it, if I've been running around low and slow servicing equipment if I park the truck it will idle up it doesn't say it's in regeneration but I assumed that's what it was doing...my trucks never even shown me it's in regeneration but they say on the newer 4th generation trucks they hog the fuel while they're in it. My truck for two days had a weird lope taking off but hasn't done it since.

Thanks guys. I will try the sensor, or maybe it was regen. I didn't think it would regenerate in park though. It was 83 degrees and the coolant was 204. If I hit the brake it would stop kind of like a high idle but only at 900 rpms, when I let off it would go up again. The exhaust brake was on, and it sounded like it was closed. Thanks again.

It is on the back underneath side and has a single torx screw.
