I don't know what kinda person grandson's father is, but I gather from the tone of the post that he's not well liked. I bet you know as well as I that fathers who DESERVE to have custody rarely get it, much less those that have problems.

Hey that's right up my alley. If you have any questions, ask. Alot of people hate FC and they jump straight to MIG because "it's pretty" (and easy too, no clean up, so I give them that). But I respect FC for being the ugly duckling and a challenge. I'll show those prima donnas how to weld with FC.

What are you working on?

I have no idea on how you're suppose to weld for real. I'm self taught from the internet

Once again, no transportation to get to the services. An old timer taught me how to wire feed in about 10 seconds.

Main working item. It's supposed to sizzle smoothly, not sputter.

Heat to match the work, and yer good to go if the fit is decent.

Crap. And to think I went to school to learn it. Guess THAT was a waste of time.

Been a busy day on the computer. Racked up my back so bad walking was horrible, so I did what I have been putting off - - downloading the old computer onto my external, cleaning up the old one and compacting the disks so the daughter can take it. Wow that takes time. Now I have to take the external and pick and choose what I want on the new one and leave the rest on the external. Did I mention that take a lot of time? Hey, it takes a lot of time. ........At least the back had a rest. Stopped every 1/2 hour and did stretches - - feeling some better tonight.

Sure pretty down here today - - heading into one of those deep red Florida sunsets right now with the red flooding in the lanai glass doors across the living room and into my office. Really pretty. Hmmm, maybe I should be out there with the blonde enjoying it. Yeh, that's right - - going. See ya,

Bobby

My last attempt at welding ended with me attaching a footpeg on a motorcycle upside down and having to wear sunglasses for two days.

As with so many other things in my life, I know just enough about welding to be a hazard to myself and others.
