that is a very good idea RJ. it will at least slow them down. mine has a great big crinkle in it. I do not think its worth much of anything on the black market..

I use those locks that fit into the handle (maybe from Geno's?)... didn't cost very much & works pretty good.

Anyone want a Patriot Blue tailgate from my other '05?

I put a dab of JB Weld on top as a bit more deterent.... now thief has to have a socket set with him!
Facing it the other way would be even better!

That's a great idea - I might weld mine shut!

looks good RJ,

question for you 2nd genners. I am going to put clearance lights on a 95 12V this week. The truck does not have factory lights.

On my truck I found the plug for the clearance lights in my pass side A pillar. is this similar on the 2nd gens? Or will I have to run wires all the way down to another source?

Max

On mine, I would have had to go all the way down to plug under the dash. In the '01s, the harness up the pillar plugged into the same place, but was a different harness depending on which overhead console you had and whether you had clearance lights. I just bought a harness, cut off the plugs, made a new dedicated light harness and connected it to power and ground where it was convenient.

When it takes my "Wait To Start" light more than 5 seconds to go off, it's too cold outside!

Noticed that myself yesterday...leaving work.
Hit the remote start and nothing? Thought I didn't do it right...about to try again when she started right up.

Since not racing anymore, put muffler back on Saturday. Neighbors never said anything before (leaving everyday at 06:00 in the morning) but two have commented since Sat.... that my CTD sounds quietier!

Hey!! Rob lives.

I think this year may be the one that kills my batteries. 34 degrees yesterday when I started and it was slower to start. May have to put some $$ in savings for when they die.

good to see ya Rob.

Is your truck still on the originals? I have been contemplating replacing mine, but so far so good. Haven't slowed down any that I can tell, but they are 5.5 years old.

Welcome back stranger Rob.
