How crazy is this?!

If you can run a diesel on vegetable or peanut oil and all you have to do is heat it before it goes in the engine, couldn't you just pour it straight into the tank and cut it with #2? If it's mixed to say maybe 2gal oil to every 30+ of fuel, it should run without any problem right?! I was wondering if i could just buy a gal of veg oil from wallymarts and dump it in at the gas station right before i fill it.

Lots of people use vegetable oil for fuel. I don't think my 24 valver with the VP44 injector pump is stout enough to run the thicker stuff but I believe the '94-'98 12 valvers with the P7100 inline pump are better suited to run it.
