Yes Sir,......I feel the same way about my 2006 Dodge CTD CR with the 5.9 CUMMINS ENGINE! To be honest, when I saw the first pictures and write-ups about the 6.7 and ALL THE EMISSIONS STUFF, I knew I wanted the 5.9. No offense to anyone on that, and I feel bad for the Members here that having all these problems, for sure!

LOL Thats funny!!!!

I have had two dodge cummins.....an 02 HO 6spd which was the best truck ive ever had....and yes that includes fords and chevys....My 04.5 has 128, 000 miles on it and it seems like the more miles i get on it the more efficent it is...And yes i use the truck, towed 28,000 on several occaisions...Only problems with this one has been a fuel line that comes from the fuel rail to the injector cracked and i thought my truck had caught on fire!!! $50 dollar fix and back on the road...i also went through a lift pump which was caused by a screw that was run through a wire which leads to the pump when they installed my amp...All in all there are good ones and there are bad ones but for anybody to say that dodge and cummins are crap need to get there heads checked!!!!

One person with problems will tell hundreds of his/her troubles. Word of mouth is really hurting Dodge ... and they appear to deserve it with their poor customer service.

I can say that I have only seen 2 new 6.7l trucks up here in NH and down in Mass in the past 6 months. I have yet to see the new chassie-cab with the 6.7l on the road. I know that the dealer I bought my truck from in '96 said that the 6.7l are not moving at all and the ones he has have been there a LONG time (this was 4 weeks ago).

Give you that warm-and-fuzzy feeling doesn't it?

With the economy the way it is along with crazy fuel prices no one is buying anything especialy a 40-50,000 dollar truck. If they own a diesel they are driving them period.

Oh, by the way, most people did what the class 8 truck people did and that is if they were buying the did it before the new emissions vehicles were being sold.....

Go git that Ferd boys ! Just a few more obstacles on the road for me to pass every morning! If you wanted cheap , reliable ,"no touch" transportation , you should have bought a Yaris, or Civic. Ferd needs your money the worst of the big three, their in the worst shape!

Not true on the Cab Chassis, I was at the Pennsylvania farm show 2 weeks ago and they have a 4500 and 5500 there w/out beds and they both had the filter. Unless it changed for 08... and just my 2 cents, i have an 08 with almost 10k miles on her and not a single problem, other than sucky fuel mileage......

Just passing it on, don't holler at me

I finally found the mirror glass in Amarillo TX today, seven days later.,,,$64 just for the glass part, ouch.

all of them have the particulate trap (dpf). Only the pickup has the nox adsorber catalyst, which makes it the only diesel vehicle sold in the US that is compliant under the 2010 emissions standards.

Now ya know why I waited ten years to buy a new truck. Kept the 97 and so far, knock on wood, not a problem with the 07. Only 4000mi so far but that is pretty good for a two month old truck that is only driven for pleasure. I have a company vehicle for work. Now if I had traded the 97, I wouldn't have gotten of the lot before a CEL would have glowed on the dash!
