over the last few days my egt reading have been going all crazy acutally rite after i but the new stereo in, not to sure whats going on because if the truck is in park or driving at ne speed the egt's jump all over the place like up to say 1200 1300 1700 then rite back down or up
just wondering if neone else has had problems like this
and tonight my altenator gauge quit and im pretty sure the altenator craped out

 

I havent had any problems with mine. You might check all your connections.

 

Cause and effect. Sounds like you have a power or ground issue resulting from your stereo installation. I would start over and check all the connections and wire routing to make sure you did not pull something loose.
