I appreciate all the help guys, the truck is a 93 w250 5 speed with 3708** miles on it. I lve this forum s much more help than cumminsforum and more polite. The window worked today! I accidently hit the switch and she rolled down? so I must have a short to ground somewhere is my guess

maybe check the wires in between the door and jamb, they crack and break from the door opening and closing

I cant recall off the top of my head but I'm sure someone with a FSM will answer soon. Shouldn't matter though, once you cut the pack of wires open its pretty easy to see which ones need help

The power window wiring is mostly 14g, with 1 or 2 12g wires, usually 19 strand. They fatigue and break inside the loom that goes through the door hinge area. When they do, they usually just open up, but the broken wires also can work their way through the insulation and short to adjacent broken wires.

If I tackle one, I replace the 19 strand wires with much finer stranding, at least 41 strand, and finer if I can find it. Usually such wire will be marine or aviation stuff and tinned to boot, so when I install it this time, it will be the last time. The job is an all day sucker. Might as well replace the lock and speaker wiring at the same time.

That's exactly what was wrong with mine when the fan motor and electric windows quit. Both run off the same terminal, new switch cured it.
