BTW, I run a business too, selling ag/industrial parts, and if a customer has a tractor down that they need and they have a problem with their order/part, I don't make them return it before I send another. I send out another part right away, and I let them know that if the other part isn't returned within 2 weeks I will charge their card for the second part that was shipped out. That is really the only way to be fair.
I purchased my clutch from a company not many folks on here like, and the clutch was wrong, when I called the owner at 8pm when I was installing it he realized his mistake. and had the right clutch at my door at 8:30 AM the next morning( two hour drive from there shop). . I was super upset that night, but the next morning when it arrived first thing my life was just a little bit better.

SO, I hope this company treats you right.. refunds ALL of your money INCLUDING shipping... good luck. Stay positive.

Let us all know how it goes, I guess they could turn things around with a lot of people by treating you right on this deal.

Like Turbo04 said they better treat you right or they will lose some respect on this forum. I sold my 4-wheeler today and have the money in my hand to order this same turbo. So if there is anybody on here that represents HTT, you really need to help this guy out or I will go somewhere else to get a turbo. I'm not bashing this company. I really want to buy this same turbo. But, in an economy like this, there are not that many people willing to drop $2000 on a turbo, so you need to take care of your customers.

There is someone on here. He is their marketing person and they have pm'ed me already. Thats the one reason i try to stay neutral because they have not recieved the bad turbo back yet. The pm pretty much said they dont handle anything direct and i need to deal with the dealer and sorry for my trouble. The dealer was recommended by them and the turbo was drop shipped and i feel he was caught in the middle and has done all he can to help.Reguardless of the outcome i cant push any ill feelings on him because he has been a great help and is very nice. As long as HTT takes care of everything on this mess i have to say they have a great product because my truck has really came alive the little part i have been able to tell. Nobody mentioned i would need a boost fooler so its still not running rt. Now since i am a little familiar with how this stuff works i can remember when i called another manufacturer they told me that i would have to have one and they would include it. So when i called htt they said it came with everything i would need. I just thought it would come with a boost fooler. Cough up that one on my ignorance on thinking a wastgate fooler and a boost fooler is the same thing.

I got my quad boost fooler in today and just put it on and i finally got to try it out. Man this turbo rocks. I had no idea it would make that much of a differance. Before i did all of this i called a local diesel shop in north al and asked the turbo expert about aftermarket turbos v/s factory. He said i need to stick with the factory because its going to spool faster and be better all around for the truck unless i want to upgrade the injectors etc. Boy was he full of poo. I believe this is the best mod i have ever put on and its a shame they dont come from the factory like this. He said i was going to lose all this bottom end and blah blah blah. Man i am super impressed. Much much faster and harder hitting boost and the lower end grunt is better too. 2 years ago i called to the same shop and they talked me out of a turbo because it wasnt worth the money if you didnt do injectors and cp3 and on and on. 2 years worth of fun i have missed because of him. This is also the same shop i called for the heck of it just to see if they had a boost fooler. They said they didnt even know anybody that made one anymore because there was no use for one. Imagine that

Oh yeah, you get the boost solenoid plug with the HTT turbo. You have to have boost fooling via a programmer(Smarty) or a box (Quad II, Quad boost fooler, MP8, etc.)

My 62/71/13ss starting making some racket as well. Finally took it off a few months ago and had it sent in after about 20k on it, and was told that I drove my truck at too low of rpm and the thrust bearings went out. I've got an goerend auto with 35's, so i kinda have a hard time controlling that unless i click the tow/haul button. Anyway, for about $450 they sent me what looked to be a brand new turbo, sure wasnt the one I had before. Runs good now, but I don't think I should have been charged to fix it.

Well all of this is a little scary. I hadn't heard anything bad about HTT until this thread, that is why I went with their turbo.

Hope nothing goes wrong with mine

My 62/71/13 is still running hard on my old truck. HTT treated me great with super customer support with all our friends that run their turbo's. Just like any product out there, youre gonna get a bad one here and there.....

OK, so now I am officially confused. I have an 04.5 with th eelectronic wastegate (right?). I am planning on getting an HTT 62/65/13ss since I am not planning on bigger injectors. Now the question. What do I need to bolt up this turbo? I need the "plug" for the electronic wastegate since the HTT has no electronic wastegate (right?). Do I need a boost fooler like dieselfumes had to get?

Any comments are welcomed....don't mean to hyjack the thread but seemed to be a good place to ask.

Yes you have an electronic wastegate if your truck is an 04.5. You have to have the wastegate plug to fool the computer so you won't throw codes. If you have a smarty it will boost fool until 40psi then you will throw an over boost code. So if you plan on running over 40psi boost you will need to get a boost fooler.

Thanks Diesel87. In fact I forgot to mention that I was getting a Smarty Jr. with the new turbo, so I guess that would be a good combo. Not planning on 40+ boost since I will be running the stock fuel system (right?).

Your making me laugh, not planning on 40+ boost. Get a Quad boost fooler, they are inexpensive and work great, wont have to worry about it again.
