vacuum pump/power steering pump leak

Just had my truck into a dodge dealer three weeks ago for an engine oil leak at the vacuum pump/powersteering pump assembly. I was told by them it was just a seal in the vacuum pump but that the part was not available from dodge. They said they would have to replace the pump for $1100.00. I took the truck to my local Cummins dealer and had the pump rebuilt for $300.00. It is now leaking again and will have to go back in. Is this a common problem or am I the only one? Could it be possible that the engine oil leak is acually coming from the powersteering pump and not the vacuum pump?
