95 stock tailpipe and hanger

I am in need of a new stock tailpipe for a 95 2500. Backed over something and ripped it off just after the muffler and i broke the rubber hanger. Found a few replacements which are 3" but they dont expand to the 3 3/4 at the end like stock. dealer wants $120 for tailpipe and $250 for hanger (they sell whole piece that goes up to fram rail, not just the piece of rubber that bolts to the exhaust and the metel off the frame) any suggestions? I see places like rockauto.com sell it just like stock but the hanger isnt welded to the tailpipe.

If I understand you correctly, you need the rubber strip between the hanger and the pipe flange? If so, I've made one before out of a piece of a heavy duty truck mud flap. That was about five years or so ago, still on the truck.
