Squeak Eliminated

I've been searching for the source of this pesky squeak that has been bugging me since I got my truck. It seemed to be under the dash on the driver's side. Never could find anything, so just decided to live with it. Then, I came across a thread on TDR that solved the problem. This may have been discussed here on DTR, but I haven't come across it here. The squeak was the auto trans linkage under the truck. Just a shot of lithium grease on the three pivots did the trick. Funny how sounds travel and sound like they are in places they really are not. Anyway, it's nice to have it gone so the the only noise now is the mighty Cummins. ;D ;D ;D

My '02 only has 11,000 miles on it. I bought it in october (?) with 7,000 after it spent a few years in a repo lot. Its amazing how long the "wheels of justice" sometimes take to turn. But I benefited so ....
