upgrade to class 4 hitch
I didn't get the tow package. Reading thru my owner's manual, it looks like I can put a ball in my bumper and I have a class 3 hitch rated at 5000 lbs. It looks like if I bolt a hitch receiver to my frame I have a class 4 rated at 12000 lbs. Is that it? I know the tow package has a 7 pin connector vs. the stock 4 pin. Does the tow package include an upgraded tranny cooler? Thanks.
I just went to Dodge site and tow package includes 7 pin harness, 750 ampere battery and class4 hitch, that's for a 2005. I know my 2004.5 has a tranny radiator and I thought it was listed as part of the tow group when I built mine online last August. Maybe the coolers are standard now or not included at all, hope someone else can add to this.
Yes the trailer package is 7 pin connecter and the reciever, the cooler is a stock item now also you can buy the reciever hitch and it's really simple to and on although the class listing is decieveing you have a class 4 rating only with stabalizers added to your hookup. The hitch is only rated for a class 3 without the stablizers
Oh btw you'll love the way they came up with to bolt the bottom bolts
