you can always run you own power wire with a relay to the FASS setup off the ignition that way you know you have the right voltage. I believe the PCM has output for the fuel pump could be wrong...

yes the APPS units are the same I have used one from a stick shift a few times, just need to change over the bracket as there isn't the hole for the trans kick down line

from what I understand heating them helps remove the ball joints and heat doesn't change the properties of the metal. if allowed to cool on its own, dont dump water on them to cool them

could be a dirty filter I have seen this more than one time before, or maybe the bands need adjustment. (one needs to be done when doing the filter as it is inside the case the other can be done...
