One thing to look at is make sure the inlet and outlet tubes are further apart than your radiator is wide. If they are to narrow to pass by the sides of the radiator it will never work.

I had the timing to the head when I jumped a tooth. It pulled hard once it spooled but fell way off in the upper rpms. I backed it off some and it runs much better now.

The pulley spins free and smooth as could be. I put a pry bar behind the pulley and put pressure on it to see if I could move the fan toward the radiator and there was no movement at all.
