At one point I had my autometer gauge sensor in that port on the outlet pipe. Seen 250 deg pretty easily. So 300 deg rated hose should be fine.

IF you are going to turn up the pump, don't worry about adjusting the trans yet. As soon as you mess with the pump the trans adjustment will be all out of whack.
