Sanden a/c compressor source
I need to purchase a new compressor for my 93.
Where does everybody recommend?
Does any one know the size of the bolts that hold the compressor to the mounting bracket?
Thanks guys!

Did some searching and found it on the Web for $100 cheaper then my local Carquest. I would like to buy local rather then the Web but $100 is a lot of cash.
Johnny, I thought mine was 12 mm head, can't tell anymore, I broke all 4 off and the pump is seized to the mount on the donor truck hence needing a new one. Gotta love the rust belt

Yeah, a $100 is a lot of cash to throw away. My girlfriend works there and gets parts for cost so it wasn't that bad for me, still $230 or $270 I don't remember.

The bolts to hold the compressor to the mount are a metric thread...I want to say M12x1.25...but I'm probably wrong. A 5/16 bolt will thread in with a bit of resistance if that helps narrow it down.
As for A/C compressor, I got mine form these guys..

Thanks cows, I did look at those guys before I posted this. The only thing is, they list 3 different compressors, at 3 different prices and different part numbers for each. The only difference I see is one is a reman. I'll have to email them or try to call.
Thanks again for everyones replies

IIRC, I discovered that the mounting bolts are M8 and I forget the pitch but the intake manifold bolts are identical.
I called up 1800-Radiator and told them i needed an A/C compressor for a '92 Dodge truck with a 5.9L Cummins diesel. Price ran a little over $200 I believe.

That may be a replacement already, I know mine has the 10mm reduced size hex with a flared head. 13mm sounds like a common hex size for a 8mm shank bolt. 5/16 and 8mm are virtually identical in size.
