Renew Autobody trim?

Renew Autobody trim?
As stated in my first thread, I have a 1992 W250 Diesel. While the trim on it is in great condition, it is starting to lose it's color in some areas.
Rather than replace it, is there an effective alternative such as painting or dying it?

I've had great luck with mother's back to black. It's designed just for aging trim. It's not a permanent fix, but looks great and lasts a few months before you have to reapply.

Back to Black is a good product. Look at the dates on the bottle if you go to get some. They have made a change in the last couple of years. The older stuff works better. There still might be some older stuff on the shelfs.

I agree, Back to Black is a good product if the trim is faded. If it needs refurbished, I have used the following with great results: Bulldog Adhesion Promoter made by Klean Strip (#ETPO123B). This preps the trim for paint, SEM Trim Black (#39143). This process will virtually make your old pieces look brand new.

Thank you Clifford. My question is, does this process require removal of the trim pieces or can they remain on the truck? Is the paint sprayed on, wiped on , or other?
