Really high idle
I just did the power screw adjustment on my truck and when i started it up i could tell it was idling high. its idling at 900 rpms. Is this to high i havent driven it yet cause i don know how good it would be to drop it into gear like that. if this really is to high how can i get it to come down?

back off your low idle screw and turn the idle down.

thanks and uh which way brings the idle down clockwise or counter clockwise just want to be sure

yeah 900 for an automatic is a little high. you'll probably have to stand on your brake pedal when in any drive or reverse gear lol. 750 w/ the A/C running is what you want. if you're facing the pump from the front of the truck, the jam nut and screw should be turned clockwise. or as if you're looking at it from the back, counter clockwise. standard right-handed thread.

lefty loosey, righty tighty, your gonna back the idle screw out from the back of the pump, so counterclockwise from the backside, and clockwise lookin at it from the front, You'll figure it out after you knock the jam nut loose, spray the whole thing with WD40 and use a toothbrush to clean off the threads and it will be much much easier to screw out, you may even be able to do it by hand if it turns easy enough which makes it much easier.

I used a dremel and shaved the end of the bolt...I couldn't get to those edit nuts.
