Chris,

it plugs into the injector harness under the hood.

More specifically, it plugs into the rail pressure sensor with a piggy back harness. The factory plug then connects to the piggy back harness. Hook up a power and ground wire and you're done.

If you opt for the lift pump pressure kit, you install a sending unit at the inlet line to the injection pump using a threaded banjo bolt, and hook up the sender wire that is supplied with the guage harness.

Redesign Now Shipping

Hello,

I received my new rail gauge today. Apparently the new design is shipping. Installation instructions look easy, very easy.

I have Strep Throat and it's snowing so it will not be installed today. Probably this weekend.

The one pic doesn't link anywhere....

Could someone post a few pics under the hood and monitor mounting locations?

Thanks

how much is the quadzilla rail gauge? i have a 2004.5 ram diesel and would like a gauge for Lift pump pressure and cp3 output/Rail pressure. Does the quad do both? I heard they were breaking down. Are they ok now or garbage? Can you view both pressures at same time or do u have to toggle between the 2?

Hello,

The cost with the LP pressure kit is about 200. You need to switch back and forth between the two readings. It will not display both at the same time. The component that changed and caused the problems has been corrected. My readings consistent.

The sensor for the LP must be installed with the provided banjo bolt that has a provision for the sensor right on the cp3. A single wire goes to the LP sensor. The factory rail pressure sensor is used with a piggy back harness as stated earlier. The only other connections are power at the fuse panel under the hood and a ground to the dash frame in the cab.

See this thread for a few picts. http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/d...d.php?t=190859

I run the 4.4 and have the quad, without the piggie back on the sensor my truck was around 370 on the rail, with the piggie back on the sensor i get 875 all on idle. When turbo is at 46 psi i have seen up to 25000 on the rail. Have had a sensor go bad, I think the quad burned it out.
