Clutch job?

I'm wondering what the price on a clutch job would be on a 2WD truck... for labor only.

I'm not sure that I will be able to get together with my friends any time soon, who have the tools/skill to help me do it.

How many hours should a shop charge for doing a clutch on this heavy beast?

Anyone know of reputable shops in Phoenix?

If the price is too high, I will end up waiting out and doing it with my buddies. I still have to pay for the flywheel to get ground down and already spent a dime or two on the Con OFE...

When I had my trans rebuilt, they charged me $300 for R&R and installed my clutch for free. I'd guess you ought to pay around that much for a clutch swap. 2wd makes it a lot easier.

I paid $350 and that included R/R and grinding the flywheel....

When we replaced my clutch a few weeks back it took us about 15 hrs, but that was the first time we had ever swaped a clutch. After running into a few "bumps" I think we might be able to knock it out in 8 or so. If I had the choice of doing it again, and I don't plan on doing it for a while, I would definately consider paying someone to do the install, depending on the price.
