Grid heater delete

What do u guys do with the wires that hook up to the stock heater? Im gonna b buying a delete but just wanted to ask before I buy. Also, does it throw any codes?

Does this mod gain much? How much air do you have to be pushing before a delete is beneficial? Or is it to just get the power drain out of the truck? Not knocking you doing it. Just honestly wondering for my truck. :)

I do think it will thow a code. My truck had a low power voltage to grid heater code popped up when my batteries started going bad. So if it was unplugged, I think the truck will know.

we remove the wires all the way from the solenoids to the heaters. the industrial 5.9 does not have heaters. cummins part number with out the heater is 3922484. it will throw two different codes. the green control wire to the solenoids must see about a 20 ohm load that is why most leave it connected. the second code works like this, once you turn the key on the wait to start light comes on regardless of temp. this trains you to wait to start. only when the temp is below 55* does the ecm trip the heaters and the ecm watches for the voltage drop to ensure the heaters are working. simply do not wait to start.
