How much boost for an H1C?
The other day hauling 2800 lbs of scrap metal on my truck and a trailer.. uphill 45 mph 4th gear 15-20 lbs of boost.. I wanted to see what the H1C with my PODS would do. I put it to the floor and the pressure bounced to 40 lbs and stayed there.. the truck stated to take off like a rocket,I let off when I hit 900f on the pryo.. my question is has there been somebody else who's hit 40 lbs or more? With an unmodded H1C?

I think if your making that much with it unmodified your at risk of over spinning it.
|
I can make close to 45 with mine I never had a problem.
|
I hit like 36psi with mine...I think having a large exhaust housing helps...
|
I've never been past 33. Head gasket is ready to let go at 40. Careful there bud.

I was getting 56 PSI on mine until I bumped the timing 1/8" and that dropped it to just off the end of my gauge on a hard jump on the freeway, but I also have the HTT upgrade.

ok that helps as to what im looking at doing next....maybe a he357?
|
he351 you mean.
|
yep that one theres also a he 351ve right
? |
Yes there are two different ones, he351CW and he351VE

I remember Pulltilbroke telling me some time ago that he hit 55psi with the baby (50mm) h1c. I can bet that only happened at time or two before he upgraded. Anymore than 35psi for something in that size-range is just blowing hot, inefficient air.
My hybrid, Super 40/35 pushes no more than 37-38psi at WOT with the wastegate disconnected. At that point, drive pressure must be opening the wastegate for me, which is good! [laugh] It pushed about the same with the set of 4x.014s I ran before the 5x.012s I have now. I can't recall how high I pushed my baby h1c, maybe into the low 30s, as I had very little mods done while running it and honestly didn't really turn up the pump until early last year. |
I'm running an H1C/HTT stage IV upgrade and I get a lot of needle bounce on anything above 38 pounds. I have seen 42 pounds max in an empty truck with a little help from the liquor cabinet.(H20/meth)

hello
Yes there are two different ones, he351CW and he351VEis what is the difference? Is it in the waste gate or the compressor 14mm vs 16mm ? |

I can hit 40 PSI (which is a lot for this altitude) with my Stage IV H1C, but I think my head gasket is blowing snot bubbles at 40. [eyecrazy]
