Tonneau with Goosneck

Does anyone make a tonneau cover that is specificaly made to be used with a goose neck attached? I asume you could cut a hole in one and do make a vecro flap and such. Anyone have something like this?

I bought a second cover for my chevy when I had it. Took the old cover and cut a 6" radius hole in it and stitched around the opening while using a heavy mylar circular type donut to stitch in place. Would swap covers if I was using the trailer for more than a day's towing.

I didnt see any mpg differences, but did help keep the bed clean and what I was hauling in the bed from being flapped around.

At certain speeds the tonneau would "blow up" like a hot air balloon. I got around this by not snapping the back rail so there was a low pressure area for the air to pass. Was more trail and error than anything. And I used the modified tonneau about 6 times in 3 years.

Not going to do it with the ram...too much a PITA.

Yea it wouldn't be more then a couple times a year when we go on long trips. But it would be nice not to have to worry about lugage and such getting wet in the back of the truck. Probably never get around to it [laugh]

With my Pace Edwards Roll Top rolled down to the first locking point it is about 6 inches from the gooseneck hitch. So, about 1/3 of the 8' bed is covereed good for a couple of hay bails.

It's not perfect but the gooseneck itself covers the rest of the bed very well for rain.

Adbrook makes just what you are looking for. Mike has a web site but I don't have it handy. He's located in Arizona and great to do business with. The cover is also available through Camping World.
Has the center flap opening with a separate weather seal for around the hitch head. Works very well. HAd mine for over three years now with great results. You get some slight seepage around the velcro on the flap but the bed stays very dry.

I found what appears to be two sites for them, but neither of them seems to work. Are they in business any more?

I used to see adds in Highways or Trailer Life magazines for these covers with the velcro flap in them. You might search back issues in the last year for the add. If I stumble on one I'll repost with the details.

Sorry, you're right. That one doesn't work either. Let me look over the week end and see if I can find their 800 number. I think that cover is jest what you are looking for. I didn't think the price was bad when I got mine either. The best part is that the separate weather seal adapts to either goosneck of fifth hitches.

Bill

Thanks for your help. I am headed from WI to CA in a week by way of TX. If they are anywhere along that route I may have to make a pit stop ;D
