Here is a teaser for the 6.7L guys... Smarty Related... Come in...

Alright... here it is....

Marco has been very gracious in letting my brother's truck be a test mule (Alpha Testing) for the 6.7L. This truck is not stock (no dpf, no egr, aftermarket turbo, Don's injectors, and so on). When Marco came to the States back in November, he played with tuning the truck a little. It made more power than other programmers back then but it had a few bugs in it (speed limiter issues and little stuff like that). It made very strong power none-the-less.

Well, he left a 6.7L smarty here for us when he got the programming good enough for an Alpha Test. Yesterday morning I check my email... Hey got one from Marco. I think to my self... Cool. It's always something good. Come to my surprise, it's the 6.7L alpha program. AWESOME!!!! Guess what's going to happen later in the day? We put it on the truck later that day. The torque it produces is incredible! The power comes on so fast and so smooth it isn't even funny. It makes me jealous of the 6.7 now.

We are needing a new converter now. The truck made 538 HP before (power pup, MP-8, DPF delete, and turbo). Also this was on a program that had the torque tuned down.... The program with TM3 has twice as much torque. So when we get the new converter in the truck, it will be hitting the dyno to give a comparison for you guys.

Guys, the new Smarty is totally worth the wait that you guys have been going through! We will be testing it on a stock turbo truck soon.

Again, we thank Marco for letting us have fun with his testing. We will be waiting for more down the road.

Can't wait to see the numbers!

Great!

Don't forget fellas you need to get on the pre-order list NOW in order to get your Smarty 6.7! https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=232931

Almost makes me want to go buy a 6.7...just so i can try a new smarty!

megacabdad Feb 12, 2009 06:04 PM

I don't have a 6.7...but,

I'll keep what I got...

For now.

Come on, be a pioneer...

Let us know what you think about the new Smarty.[guitar]

Don't be afraid to comment on this product, as other programmers have been around for awhile for these trucks.

****, almost tempting to buy a 6.7 and start doing some emissions deleting....

chrleb1 Feb 12, 2009 09:49 PM

I'll tell this to you guys.... 68 RFEs will be be hating life with strong programming like this. We slipped a heavy duty dual disc converter from Dave. Now he's sending his new triple disc so we can continue to test it. Again, the truck has other mods to make more power...

Do you know if he is doing any testing with the DPF's /EGR ???

Stock setup[duhhh]

chrleb1 Feb 12, 2009 11:31 PM

There was a sample tune of that. He has been doing more tuning towards the DPF delete trucks as of now. Remember, this Alpha testing that we are doing for Marco is before Beta testing. After a couple more things get's ironed out, Beta testing will begin.

But yes we have a sample tune for a stock truck. We need to put on a truck that doesn't care about their tranny right now to get some more info for Marco. Right now, the amount of torque that this thing is producing is a tranny killer. This will have to be tuned back for the lower settings.

In a couple of weeks, we will be doing even more testing. Again, this is some of the first rounds outside of Marco's truck.

Everyone's wait will totally pay off.

UH OH, ehm....No, that's not. My tuning has been done with the stock truck, that means DPF and EGR operational, in mind. I just happen to know also how to get rid of that stuff. [duhhh]
( BTW, knock on wood... My truck is DPF, EGR, and throttle valve free, no codes in the past four days. "Codefree"???, I guess we'll see.)
I knew that the test truck has lost a few of these items, I just provided the right software for it. [laugh]

The blown converter has surely to do with the other power adders THAT test truck has. My truck ( STOCK AT ) can handle the very same software just fine. Granted, I'm using also a grain of salt while driving it... LOL

For now the software you guys are playing with is the highest HP/TQ I plan to release. More can be had but you already found the next weak point.[laugh] Looks like them tranny guys are faced with a new challenge.

Of course, the lower power levels will be less torque / less hp, no doubt!

Marco
P.S. One intresting thing about the 6.7L. While the torque numbers for the 5.9L are usually arround Hp X 2, the 6.7L is Hp X 3! We need stronger transmissions!!!

Marco, Comparing the two motors(5.9 vs 6.7) with both having a Smarty sw,which motor is producing more power? Thanks...

Awesome!

Cubes = Torque :cool:

well the 5.9 can hold more hp, then the 6.7 .that been proved already,a year and a half ago.they both went over 1000hp, the 6.7 went 1100 before the rods went, and the 5.9 same set up 1300hp sucessfully.
