What is a "CZ" pump?

I see that when VP's are discussed. Whatever a CZ is, it is not considered good.

So what is "CZ" fellas?

Reman in a former soviet state is the general impression I have been given. Generally are painted/dyed blue/black. May be just as good as USA rebuild. Has same warranty through repair facility.

Made in Czechoslovakia. Not the best quality as I understand.
