Finally In -- 7" Mitres

Well, what do you guys think? It took me a while to convince myself to cut a hole in my bed, but it was well worth it. :)

I still need to clamp the Y-pipe down to the bed and they need tweaked a little but good enough till after Christmas. The sound is awesome, very deep and throaty.

By the way, does anyone have the number for the guy that makes those aluminum Staxx Clamps? Do you know if he makes them in 7"? Those clamps that come with the kit are about junk. They look bad, IMO.

Thanks Ray

Stacks and a white truck=lots of soot EVERYWHERE[coffee]
My only problem is if it rains or snows and I dont cover the stack...then it is soot city...but if I keep it's capped it's not too bad...be ready for a black tailgate too...........I still love the look and sound more then the soot hassle:cool:

BTW Matego your stacks look great....Bruce mann is the StaxxClamp guy..and his phone number is 805-720-6980

I tried to get a good pic of the routing. It is pretty much strait. I did have to cut 5 in. out of the Y pipe so the stacks were inboard enough to use the front tie downs. I will have to add a muffler though, I think the Police will not like the noise going through town at 2 am. when get off work. [laugh] There is no way at all to keep it quiet. Even idling it is crazy loud.

I may have to put these up for divorce sale. I just picked up the boy a 03 KX65 for Christmas with the hardwood flooring money.[duhhh]

That is one butt ugly hole in the bed. I know you said it took a while to get up the nerve to do it but you should have spent the time driving to the tool rental and getting a 6" hole saw.

Other then that the stacks look interesting but not in the cards for me as I have a canopy on my bed.

I agree on the hole. I am going to round off the edge with a burr bit and come up with some kind of trim to go around the hole. The hole has to be kinda oval shaped so the pipe sits low enough to lay on the bed, so a hole saw was out of the question. I wanted to keep the stacks as low as I could, I dont like 2 feet of stack over the roof of the truck.

I have been getting a lot of eyeballing from people when I drive by.

I figure they are thinking "what a hillbilly" or "that looks pretty cool" I prefer the latter of the two.
