Here's a couple of pics. Truck is a little different now. Mostly under the hood though.

Hi folks. I'm new here and figured by way of introduction I might as well make my first post in this thread. I've had this truck for about a year now and just now got around to joining this great site.

Truck details are in my sig, and it's pulling a 40' Aluminum Barrett 4 horse trailer with a 14' (shortwall) living quarters. Fully loaded it's probably around 16-17K lbs.

Sapps and Gomulego, how is the 48re holding up in front of those large horse trailers? I sell trailers for a living...

Gomulego is probably spot on with his estimate of weight for his trailer. 14' LQ is generally the biggest I recommend putting behind a one ton.

Sapps, is yours a 6H head to head? I'm not really familiar with 4-Star trailers... not many out here... and the window set up looks kind of foreign.

Here's my rig and one of my old trucks on the day I sold it...hauling it to the new owner, it was a sad day to see it go.

So far it's worked just fine for me, but it's also my biggest concern. I've only been pulling around Ohio this year and haven't gotten into any real hardcore climbing situations with it.
But I am planning a couple of fairly long trips for next year and will likely have gone the Goerends route as Sapps and many others have done before I leave.

I would have gone with a manual, but I figured the horses would get a smoother ride with the auto. Well, that and the fact that I'm lazy
