I'm having a bench racing session with my friends :

For some reason they just don't want to put there money where there mouth is. With my mods, what are chances against a 2wd Hemi single cab. I like my chances.....

what do you all think.

I'm hoping to get a little education before I go out and get smoked. I don't have a problem putting it to a test, but they do. I figured I use the time to get the story from you guys.

What are you running first of all? I'd give it a go anyway, if you lose, you can always hook up a 5000 trailer/boat/haywagon and see who tows it the fastest!

Oops! I guess my profile didn't show. That's odd..... anyway, I have a EZ Box, cool air intake, down pipe into a magna flow, 3:73's, and stock Michilins.

My truck is an:
04 2500 Quad Cab
4x4
Long Bed

What do you guy's think?

I would think that, with mods, I would blow his doors off. I have more hp, LOTS more torque (by about 400ftlbs). While I realize my truck is heavier, It can't be that much heavier

I guess I'll have to take my spankin', or just simply prove it one way or another. The tough part is to get one of them to race me.

And yes, NO buddy wants to hook up a trailer against me. I can't even get my PS Buddy's to go with me, against the clock. Most just keep putting it off.

All in all, I can't complain too much about the truck. I bought a Cummins and am pretty satisfied with the wrapper.

I just need a little more room in the cab. 6'10"/320 makes life a little tight some times.

I would not sweat it I think you should be able to take him, I have driven a Hemi and they are not all that impressive it would beat your truck without the EZ but not with it. Mike

I don't see you winning, sorry. My wife has a hemi quadcab and even with it's sloppy shifting tranny, it'll blow the doors off a diesel with just a box and air mods. I'm on my 4th diesel and I've had various boxes on them all (3 dodges, 1 Ford), they're nice and peppy, but are no match for the hemi especially a reg. cab.

BigDaddy no offense but I also think you would lose. I think you may be overestimating the results of your mods. Throw some dd3's and a big turbo in there and then line up

also, I did not notice if you are running the 6 speed or auto...auto will help, but the Hemi runs well in the reg. cab trucks.

I would run him. I know my new truck would spank the hemi I traded in. It was basically the same truck but the hemi had 4:10s and I now have 3:73. I have taken a 2wd quad cab in a street race. The best #'s I have seen for a quad cab 2wd hemi is 14.97 so I dont think that is unbeatable. Go for it!

well i am right at 400 rwhp and i can walk fron a hemi any day of the week. throw some fuel at it.
