normal oil pressure

my oil pressure gauge stays at about 60psi when the truck is running even at
idle. Is this normal my cousins truck runs at about 35-40psi at idle and climbs to 55psi while cruising but her truck is an S.O.

What reflash at the dealer?? Mine runs at above 40 cruising and drops to around 25-30 while at hot idle. What will that reflash do?

It basically turns your perfectly functional oil press. gauge into a dummy light. In other works, when the oil pressure fluctuates (reving up, settling back down to idle, etc.) the gauge will read the same pressure no matter what. Only when the pressure drops down to nothing will the gauge (along with the dummy light) that there is a pressure problem.

reason for reflash is dealer likes an easy fix for easy $$$$. if u live in cold climate this is normal, pressure can go as high as 100psi in cold. thats the reason for a heavy duty oil filter like the fleetgaurd.
