You loose power with a 0234 code??? Not sure if I get that. I get the same code after i go over the 40 psi mark (beyond Smarty fooling) but the truck still fuels hard and boost will increase 55-60 pds. depending on load.

pretty sure not running out of fuel.I do have a airdog 150 to help a little. it will be pulling hard and then the serv engine chime and you can feel the power loss. Come to complete stop and stomp it and you are a little slower than a factory truck. Reset the code and pulls great again untill the roll over 35 psi and there comes the serv eng light and then she wont pull over 28 to 30 psi

I'm goona try the Quadzilla boost fooler here soon with the MP8 I ordered last week... I've been having issue's with my TST and am tired of dealing with it... I only use the TST for pressure anyway, well that and the cool down timer, when I can get it to work right. I'll let you know how those 3 stack together...

It may be the difference between the Bullydog and Smarty. With my truck there no difference with or without the cel on. It comes whenever I go over 40lbs of boost (which is everyday)and goes off on it's own. (I think after 3 starts)
Never the less it sounds like a boost fooler will cure your trouble.
Good luck,
Topper

Was there any visible damage to the turbo you removed? I just installed an HTT turbo over the weekend and I love it so far.

no signs of damage at all.. kind of looks like some scrape marks on the intake side. Ya cant feel it but its a little shinny around the blade. Spins fine with your fingers and no scraping. But once its on it a differant story. Who knows. I think something might be machined wrong on it.

no---- I HAD TO BUY ANOTHER ONE AND SHIP THE BAD ONE BACK. IF HE DECIDES ITS A WARRANTY ISSUE WE SQUASH IT AND IF NOT I HAVE TO PAY TO FIX IT. HE WANTED ME TO TAKE THE FIRST ONE OFF AND SEND IT BACK AND LET HIM FIGURE OUT IF HE WOULD FIX IT OR NOT UNDER WARRANTY. IN THE MEAN TIME I JUST SIT HERE WITHOUT A TRUCK....THATS WHY I ENDED UP BUYING 2......The crazy part is that nobody ever mentioned that i would have to have a boost fooler when i called. Now i am waiting on that to come in so i dont have to drive around in limp mode or whatever its doing.

Dude that really sucks. There is no way I would have bought another turbo. I don't see how you could really screw things up when installing it it just bolts on. What does he think you did to mess it up? If he says anything about the oil I won't even buy a turbo from them! Keep us posted with what he says about the warranty. I hope all goes well and he helps you out.

I was actually considering buying one of these turbochargers but think I will keep my money in my pocket or go somewhere else. I have the same kind of luck that would allow me to get a turbo that is junk right out of the box, and I am not willing to gamble with that much money. I will look for a company that is more reasonable with their customers.

Let us all know how it goes, I guess they could turn things around with a lot of people by treating you right on this deal.

BTW, I run a business too, selling ag/industrial parts, and if a customer has a tractor down that they need and they have a problem with their order/part, I don't make them return it before I send another. I send out another part right away, and I let them know that if the other part isn't returned within 2 weeks I will charge their card for the second part that was shipped out. That is really the only way to be fair.
