Unhappy I need an installer

I just recieved an ATS TC and a Transgo Shift kit that I ordered and I was going to have it installed by someone at a shop that had a modded dodge himself with around 30 yrs experience with automatic transmissions. Well just after I ordered the parts the place changed management and he is no longer there and the shop doesnt have anyway for me to contact him. So now Im stuck without an installer and debating whether I should do the install myself, but I dont have too much experience and I would rather have a professional install it.

So can anyone recommend an installer in south florida?
(the closer to Miami the better)

p.s. Im skeptical to say the least about the new management considering I asked the new guy the same question twice within a few days and he gave me two different answers with two different explanations. They also kept insisting I use there parts which has me worried they might not install the parts I bring correctly.

Might want to move this over or re-post in 3rd gen performance. It will get alot more attention and you should get someone to help you out. And I personally would send back the shift kit and buy a pre-worked valve body. I went thru the same thing with a 30 year plus trans guy and a shift kit, and it never worked right. Some believe in shift kits, but I am a big fan of pre-tested full built valve bodies from a big diesel name. My truck was in and out for a total of about 6 weeks till I said forget it and found a diesel only trans builder (Timinva), and replaced everything DTT. Do it right do it once.

thanx for the reply ...I think i will take your advice since i have heard similar from others on this forum, i have already posted the shift kit on ebay and i am looking for a valve body. I also figured that the price of the shift kit plus cost of labor and a most likely mediocre result would equal almost the same money spent as me getting a really great valvebody and installing it myself with a great result..so DTT was is your best suggestion for the valve body?

thanx again
