looking at the bottom of that bump stop it apears that your axel and it have been friends before
In the 3500 we have for the store i have and still do haul 2tons of hay on the back of it all the time with no worrys or problems.23x2=46 bales 2000x2=4000lbs

ive hauled 3 PALLETS of shingles before. the stop blocks were on the axel by the 2nd pallet. then they threw another on there.
its 75 lbs to the bundle and 3 bundles in a square and 10 - 15 squares per pallet (dont remember for sure how many) times 3 pallets. it was a BUNCH just to be loaded onto the bed |

most i ever had in her was 30 90lb bags. almost a pallet
! but hey, 2700 lbs in the bed aint bad for a 3/4 ton! good thing someone put those aftermarket overloads on!whats really scary is watching some bozo at home depot load 57 80lb bags of quickrete into a lowered F-150. after they told me how many bags they put in i whipped out the ol' cell phone calculator and let them know they were about to haul 4560lbs in the bed of their 1/2 ton-lowered to boot- truck. they didnt seem intimidated in the least bit by the fact that they just doubled their vehicle wieght. im sure braking was fun!i wonder what the tickets are like for going over your GVWR. anyone ever got one? its not a that big a deal if you are just making a short run, or you arent grossly overrated, but sometimes you will see some moron in a half ton truck with the wheel wells burried in tire tooling down the freeway at 80 mph.

On the single rear trucks the tires are the limitation. I can get two cords of wood on my trick with the monster racks I built and with the air lifts it just sits level. But the tires arn't too happy when I do that!

It don't look like it's straining any at all. I would expect that you'd feel the weight back there though so no worries. In fact it looks kind of happy with a decent load in the back.
I've been volunteering to haul stuff for people just to see how mine does but so far no takers. I need to get my 5th wheel installed and take my 35' for a spin. Edwin
