The torquing specs. go out the window…
We are talking about the bolts heads all lined up on the same plane, that takes precedence over little stuff like torque readings.

I haven't done anything with Moonshine other than check out / inventory the boxes and boxes of parts that are in it to finish it off.
That way I can get a good plan of attack.

One of my crew cabs is up and running great, the other awaits a rear main seal, SB OFE clutch install and re-assembly.
It also needs a new brake MC and a few other small projects.
I am hoping to get that done in the next few weeks.
Summer is keeping me busy, but I should be set up to tear into Moonshine when snow flies.

I got my white crew buttoned up and running great.
I then, managed to get Moonshine pulled and pushed safely into the back corner of my shop.
Now I need to find some time to work on it….

After spending 1.5 hours on the phone with Senior Foster, I've decided that it's perfectly okay that he bought Moonshine out from under me. At first I was going to kick his ****, but after actually speaking with him, I feel as though I'd be beating up my brother.... and lordy, lordy, I shouldn't do that...

So, in honor of senior Foster, as he honored me with a moment of his life, and said it would be okay with him if you fellas (and chica's) would be welcome as well. The dude lives the life that all of us, in some way or another, wish that we could.... and a little bit of envy is shining it's head as I type.

Here's his crew cab conversion that he's doing ..... or has been doing.

Note santa's little helper on the floor in the foreground...

Thanks T-man!
Those are pictures of installing the new S.B. clutch, and the rebuilt Getrag [with helper].
The second picture is right after the transmission install and is more about the swapping out the front drivers leaf spring and brake master cylinder .
After this, the crew drove out of the shop, making room for Moonshine.

Not much has been done over the summer on Moonshine.
I have been getting my hands on a few more parts for it.
I did pull a nice set of blue 2nd gen front 40/20/40 seats from a '94.
I also stashed a decent set of grey 1st gen buckets that might be nice if I could get them re-covered in blue...
Blue interiors are hard to find and the front seats in Moonshine are tattered from the AZ sun and heat.

Got me re-reading Thrashingcow's 2nd gen front seat install, which is a good read.

I am still super busy trying to wrap up my "summer" to do list, and now that it is snowing outside.
Looks like I better get back at it.

I think the original captain chairs would look better in Moonshine....IMO...

Glad your going to have some time to get working on the RC. I look forward to the updates.
