Been a while since I've posted but it's truck season here and wanted to throw a huge shout out to the Geno's garage crew for a last minute late Friday night hook up. Those guys are awesome.
My fuel heater started leaking bad and truck went down Friday night around 4:30. I got a call into Geno's at 4:58 to order for a fuel heater eliminator nipple. UPS was doing their daily pick up and I was able to get my parts in that load. It was delivered Saturday morning by 10 and truck was back up by 11 and I was able to get two full cords of wood cut and hauled today. Couldn't have done it without the excellent service provided from Geno's.

Glad they were able to help get your truck back up and working in such a timely fashion. Shows that they truly care about their customers!

2015-2017 update
Old girl is still running good. Replaced the windshield all door/window gaskets and had the interior sprayed with line-x.
Having some exhaust work done as soon as the diamond eye kit arrives. I'll post again when there is more progress.

Is it quieter inside the cab, after the linex spray? I bet a lot of squeak sounds went away.

It's just as loud as before, especially without a headliner and carpet, and that'll be addresses at a later time. As for squeaks, yeah they're completely gone now. It's also worth noting that cleaning the interior is now much easier. Grab a hose, scrub brush, pull the floor plugs and boom, done.

Good to see you posting again. I liked your truck from the beginning.

Can linex be painted over? You gave me an idea with the linex on top of your cab. I like it. My truck is two tone, with the upper half being all black. I was planning on getting my truck painted this year sometime, back to the original factory colors. My thoughts are, linex the top of the cab like you did, and paint over it that dodge black, and if it can't be painted, it's black anyway. I just didn't want the two black tone differences.

Pretty sure linex can be color matched to anything... the machine/welding shop I work part time at does truck boxes as well. When I first started they used linex ... I remember seeing the inside of the boxes, most were black but there was a blues that was color matched to a fourth gen dodge and there was a gray Ford that was color matched.
The shop has now switched to Armorguard ... same idea as linex ... super thick and anti-slip application... they spray truck boxes, wheel wells, rockers ...etc . Armor guard can be color matched.
If the prep work is done correctly the stuff is great ... waterproof, rot proof, no peeling or cracking, its all in the prep work.
As soon as I get a tailgate and get truck painted I'm going to have the box Armor guarded ... as soon as I address the rusted floor pan and rockers I'm going do the inside as well
I've even seen a guy with a newer 1ton GMC in town and he linexed the whole thing... anyway I would paint the truck first and then linex ... Armor guard whatever I was going to do.
