Re:MORE Turbo whine
You can run another filter setup like a SCOTTY II, or a K&N drop in, and also take the silencer ring out of the inlet side of your turbo. Then you will hear more turbo! ;D ;D

Re:MORE Turbo whine
Removing the silencer ring won't increase HP or reduce EGTs, it will only increase the "turbo whine".

There are a lot of after market air filters that will to varying degrees also increase the "turbo whine", and help decrease the EGTs. I have a K&N 0880 cone type filter that does well. I'm at it's limits and will probably move to a Scotty II sometime in the future.

Gene

Re:MORE Turbo whine
Before you go and order that 0880 K&N make sure you get the right one. I just returned a RU0880 because it was TINY, it would have almost fit into the stock inlet pipe. I ordered a RF-1024 and will see how it works. It is a oval cone that is 10 inches long with a 4 1/2 inch inlet. I'll see how it works and I'll let you know. Does anyone know the full 0880 part number that is supposed to fit these trucks?

John
