Moose lights
Finaly got my lights installed....
Lights are HID's by custom accessories 100 each for the 7's and 90 each for the 4's and a Randy Ellis Light Bar. 305 bucks They are the cheaper HID's sold at Schucks, but seem to do a very good job, the two 4 inch shoot out to the sides an the 7's shot straight out but just a hair off center.

I figured these would last long enough for the price on the LED's to drop. The Vision X's are around 450 now, couple years they should be half that. You can see them at Auto trim in Fairbanks

Nice looking Paul.
I've had this truck for 3 years now and haven't bothered to put any lights on it yet. Kinda surprised at that. But putting the stockers on a relay setup worked out pretty good. |

Thanx only wish they had blackout covers....Hope the mounties don't give me a hard time with them if I go south this year....I pass thru Yukon and BC on my way out. After missing the last two moose by a hair on their chin, literly the last one was really close, I really don't know how I missed it. On the way home 2 nites ago I saw moose off the side that I kniow I wouldn't have seen without these lights.

We get this strange black hole effect over here some times. It doesn't matter how much light you throw at it, the flat black soaks it right up. My biggest concern is the loss of depth perception in white out conditions. I need to "hi mount" some amber floods to help on that one. I had them in Montana and they were great.

Funny you ask....Thought about it on the way back from Anchorage tonight.
I drove 365 miles and ran with them on about 3/4 of the trip. Saw 2 moose off to the side I would have missed stock. Anyway I stopped on the road totally away from any light source, turned off the flash and took two pics, one of the brights on and one with the hids on. maybe I'll Take a couple head on later.
