Infidel i see you seem to be one of the guys to ask questions when your stumped. I have a 97 5.9 and one day while idling the dampner ring wobbled up and hit the ess. I replaced both of them and since then I had no tach, a.c., and my volts weren't charging. I put on a external regulator because I needed the truck. I've checked the wires and on my truck I have a violet/black wire that is reading 5-7volts with the key on, the black/light blue wire ohms out to zero off my battery, and the grey/black wire has between 5-7 volts all the time. If I understand correctly one of these wires is supposed to intermmit back to the pcm. When I installed the ess I didn't know about the gap so I used a business card, could this have caused the sensor to short out or could the pcm have shorted out when the dampner ring spun.

Infidel - I have read your posts. My name is Robin and I have a 1994 Dodge Ram 1500 P/U and I am in the process of a redo on it. My husband and I are in the middle of removing the drums and your notes were awesome but so far no luck.... Any ideas?

infidel, I have an 01 and at almost 300K miles on the original rear shoes. Thinking about the 1 ton wheel cylinders, worth the hassle on an 01?

    Thanks

Infidel, I hear your the man to talk to. I've got a 47rh with a 95 PCM to control it and a potentiometer to replace the TPS. I've got a few questions. I've read all that I can read and your last post on the TPS fix with the wiring diagram has me very curious. If you don't mind, give me a call any time today would be great (but i'll wait until you can get to it obviously)
