Hi KATOOM, I have an '01 2500 with an Edge EZ and a Fass lift pump (not sure the exact model), otherwise the truck is pretty stock.

I have now experience what seems to be the hard start when the engine is hot problem lately. This has only happened since I replaced the stock fuel lines from the LP to the IP with a "big line kit"

Reading in the previous posts it sounds like I need to wire up a relay to stop the LP from kicking on while cranking. Unfortunately none of the posts show the diagrams or specific relay I should be installing. I was hoping that you could point me in the right direction of how to get this installed since it seems you have a lot of knowledge regarding this issue. Thanks in advance.

Question: I am in the market for a replacement for my VP44. All the suppliers I have contacted ask me for the engine number in order to give me the correct ip. I have read on this forum where folks are putting SO pumps in place of HO pumps, rebuilding the mechanicals of core pumps they have acquired, etc. Can you tell me how critical the engine serial number is? How can a person decode that number? My engine number happens to be: 56921746. Thanks a bunch ! Dennis J.
