Thought I would bring this back up to the TOP again since it is going to be getting close. As it stands now, I think we will be pulling the 5er up to the Bowling Green KOA in VA on friday night after I get off of work. That way it will be a short drive from there, across the state line to Buds Creek and the dragstrip Saturday morning. That's the way we did it last spring and it worked out good for us. Hope to see a bunch of ya'll then. ;D Dennis

Hey Keith, I found out today that I have a trade for sure. We will be pulling into the Bowling Green KOA campground Friday night. If I remember right, I think we should get there around 7.00pm. I'm going to call the KOA in the morning to make reservations. If you won't be camping there, we will see you at the Drags. ;D

I'd love to make this for sure but I will be neck deep in reactor parts by Saturday. Going in Sunday night to start tearing things apart. This is going to be a long one. Is it time to retire yet? You all have a good time and take some pics. Hope that little blue truck will pull that big camper up and back ok. Don't know if it has enough power or not.

What happens to these drag races if it rains? Is it a cancel if any rain or wait it out if it's light? I am hearing rumors from the weatherman about rain on Saturday.

It depends.....
Last fall they cancelled the drags around 10:00 that morning as people sat in line at the gates.
Other times they'll try to wait if it looks like it might clear up.
We'll have to play it by ear and see what it looks like around Thursday evening.
