How many have replaced their carrier bearing?

I'm just curious how many have replaced 1, replaced mutiple, or never replaced a carrier bearing on their truck.

I am knocking on the door of 200K and this is the second one for me. The first was around 130K and I opted for a Spicer in lieu of the Mopar. This time the OEM will go back on.

Had to replace a set in my '97 at 114k. I thought it was a little unusual for a Dana 60. Also, it was only the one side that was going bad. I replaced both, of course, but I never thought I'd have the problem at all.

Question Carrier?

Are we talking Carrier Bearing as in center bearing of The 2 piece driveshaft?
Or Carrier Bearings in a Differential as Stated above?

1 Center Carrier bearing for me @ 170000 miles

I think smokindog is talking about the hanger bearing on the rear driveshaft.

FWIW, I had to replace one at 170k......there is 223k on the truck now. I put on a NAPA bearing.

my old man replaced one on his 95 at about 150K, ive replaced mine because 4 wheeling over large banks of dirt and rocks with steep angles dont mix...i hit the bearing on a rock and bent it back, removing the rubber and bearing from the metal housing itself

I was having a severe driveline vibration issue and it tore the rubbe support so I'm replacing it with the u joints.
