That is me and this was filmed in part at MIS. Truck pulled the 14k trailer up to 100mph on the back stretch and never dropped below 85mph in the corners except to slow for the camera crew. They also couldn't keep up or out run us on the road course. Was an awesome experience.
The driver has worked with Chrysler for years building their show cars, movie cars and concept cars. He also is their precision driver for commercials. We talked a while about 1st gens. He had one of the first ones off the line, a gray one. Was his first company truck to haul cars around the country. This was his work truck and trailer. If you ever did the Viper Thrill Ride, that's what they hauled the cars in.

OK, now, take it Lincoln and have UNL run it through their drawbar dyno testing.
Here's their rig
I've seen pictures of it hooked to a big articulated tractor with 4 or 5 others hooked onto the back of it for more braking power.

That's cool that you got to do the challenge -- but in the video there isn't any info about trailer weight, gvcw, how fast the truck is actually going in the shot, % grade, etc. Not even total miles & fuel consumed . . . I guess I shouldn't be surprised they fluffed it up.
I did catch your plug for the 20 year old truck -- even though they kinda buried it.
It must have been a fun experience!

There was a lot of stuff edited for legal purposes. I can answer the fuel consumption question tho because that was something I kept an eye on. We average 7.9 mpg during the time spent at the track and around 13-14 iirc on the road but that was harder to keep track of due to stopping and reshooting stuff. We did beat on the truck very hard tho. The track footage alone was amazing and fun. Guy drove the truck to its limits non stop without a hiccup. I really figured we would break something on the road course considering the trans was shifting so much. He would stab the throttle right out of every corner, brake to enter them and right back into the throttle again. Several times the trailer tires were smoking from sliding it out in the corners.

And no I wasn't paid to say good things. I wish the trailer had been heavier but it was definitely a wind drag and that was evident on the track. The wind drag accounts for something.
Also we may or may not have aired out the entire rig a couple times.......
