Here's some info to get you started, you have to consider that the auto tranny is going to be your limiting factor (until you make some upgrades).<br><br>Timing procedure: <br>http://dodgeram.info/tsb/1994/18-10-94a.htm<br><br>Timing chart &amp; effects:<br>http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/FAQ/timing.htm<br><br>TST power plates (fuel or &quot;torque&quot; plate):<br>http://www.dieselpage.com/tstpk.htm<br><br>Have fun! ;D<br><br>

Click on this link then click the image to enlarge for the instructions I have made (borrowing some TST pics) to turn up the power on your 12V cummins!

Note 1: In order to remove the breakoff screw you will either have to drill a hole just small the a T20 Torx bit and then hammer the T20 torx bit in the hole and unscrew it or take a die grinder or dremel and cut a slot in it and use a flat head i chose the first option b/c a drill is easier to get in there than a dremel!!

Any questions just ask

Re:just bought a 95 dodge cummins need advice on turning up the power

I wish I had instructions when I turned up my 94 ctd. it was trial and error the whole time. My dad almost killed me when he walked out and seen the truck I just bought in pieces in the yard. : I knew what I was doing [undecided] well now I know what I WAS doing.

Point of interest- As you make upgrades and add them to your signature, the revised version is listed with all the old posts you have made. It's interesting to see some of those posts asking about modifications, then look at the signature and see how much farther a member has gone.

Looks pretty simple I will try it as soon as I get some time can I turn up the star wheel before I do the cam plate adjustment looks like it would be quick and easy to do that in the mean time. Thanks for the info Matt

Re:just bought a 95 dodge cummins need advice on turning up the power

Matt,<br><br>You can indeed adjust the star wheel for a little more (sooner) fuel delivery before you change anything else.<br>I like to run mine pretty loose (almost all the way forward, very little spring pressure) so increased fuel flow happens with less boost. The stock fuel plate will really limit low rpm fuel, so you may not see a very big difference.<br><br>One of the other guys mentioned the break off screw could be a pain, I hope yours is easier than mine was! The torx bits trick didn't work for me. Even a chisel at a tangent didn't do it. I ended up knocking off the whole head of the screw, removed the others and the housing, then unscrewed the stub with needle nose visegrips!! <br><br>Another item to consider would be the 3K GSK (governor spring kit). It will allow your engine to rev higher and take full advantage of a more aggressive cut on an aftermarket fuel plate. I put one in a little over a week ago, and it sure pepped things up. ;D
