i personally think that would be stupid to take out a loan on aftermarket parts that you would never get your money back out of anyways. Take a loan out on something that will go up in value, not down in value. Thats how the rich get richer and poor get poorer.

Think long term, oil running out nuclear power going up, uranium the "fuel" of the future. Only reason price isn't any higher are the Russians recycling there old nuclear warheads, after that watch out. The ride is always better when you start at the bottom. I missed out on Hemlo gold find in the early 80s (put my money into boats and bikes, my buddies didn't, there boats are a hell of a lot bigger than mine
) All info came under the influence .

Wow, I thought I would get a different response. I have no intentions of selling this truck and dont want to have a $600 payment on a new one so I figured I get it put together exactly the way I want it. How many years do you all think we have left to be driving these trucks before fossil fuels are completely gone?

a long time...go with injectors and a turbo, and a torque converter. That would be about $3,000 or less...then take the wife out for the weekend somewhere nice and invest the rest

Try to find a oil supply and the stuff to make bio fuel. Then with the money saved mod the truck.

Dude,
This might sound a little harsh, but.... it's honest advice. If you don't have the cash don't take out a loan. I know making your truck loud, go fast and smoke is a testosterone rush, but think about it first. After you've thought about it, do what you want. This is just my advice. |

save the money, then when you have the extra $$$ buy the parts. the loan thing isnt the way i would go about it. i compleatly agree with you on spending the money on the truck, but do it as you get the cash.
that being said, hx-35, bh3b twins head work mach 6's tst pm3 smarty then you may look into air ride seats etc. etc. |

smokindog has got it right for you! And so did the guy about spending on boats and bikes. Go buy a one acre lot somewhere and as you get the cash in hand buy some things for your truck. Never sell the land. Work all the overtime you can to do your truck fun. Never count any overtime into your budgeted funds, it could disappear in a second. After a number of years you'll see why these other guys told you those things. Like serge said his buddies boats are bigger than his now. Invest, you will have anything you want when a few years have gone by. Smile and enjoy your day you are a lucky guy based on what you have said. Do you have any kids along with that wonderful wife?
