H&S tuner questions regarding EGR and other programming
The below questions/statements are regarding a stock 2010 2500 Laramie Megacab.
From another post on here, I gather the H&S tuner may be used to adjust performance and then may be disconnected if monitoring is not desired (please let me know if this is not correct).
How about turning off the EGR without codes and changing other factory features? Can the tuner reprogram the on-board computer to turn off the EGR and then permanently remove the tuner? How about reprogramming to allow fog lights with high beams or tuning off the seatbelt chimes and then removing the tuner?
I am asking because I have unplugged my EGR and now the check engine light is on. This is not so bad. But now using the remote start, the truck will run for about a minute, and then turn it's self off.
So, I'm wondering ..... Could I just borrow somebody's tuner to turn off the EGR? Or, do I have to buy my own tuner and run it all the time?

H&S is only good for 1 truck at a time. you don't need to use the monitor with the gauges once you have everything programed.
The programer will turn fog lites on with highbeams.

They do have a XRT programmer available, if you don't want the gauges. To me the extra cost of the gauges, is well worth the cost, at least you have abit more information. The H&S display is very easy to remove, if need to, just unplug it.

any tuner on that has been on the market can be traced if they search hard enough. you can reset to stock and remove however and might fool the dealer if they dont look hard enough. You should however expect to "pay if you play"
