GSK 3200 Kit installed! Non I/C Cummins

Install went great thanks to Bushy's great instructions!! I Found this mod to be great. and in the end turned the fuel up enuf to gain 6 psi boost @ 30 PSI max now. I didn't grind the foot, and I noticed that the truck acts more like a gasser but in a good way, in my case I used to have to go WOT to cruise over 70 mph not I'm at 1/4 throttle for 65 and above. I can't wait to see MPG's if they're different. But Egt's are off the chart, shot to over 1250 before I knew it!

Jimmy, you're gonna love it! Are you going to grind the AFC lever on your own or do I have to poke you with a stick?

Wow,

My truck weighs 5700 lbs empty...

If your truck is a "little hot rod"...what does a "BIG" hot rod look like?

The only thing I can think of that's bigger is Jay Leno's 10 cyl hemi-tank engined all aluminum roadster...

Man, I wish I wasn't such a woos when it comes to my pump. I'd love to put in the GSK spring but something tells me I'd screw something up. Those little parts seem to slip through my big mits!!!!

It's not a bad job if you have help, but I'd hate to tackle it alone. Maybe somebody in So Cal will help you out.

Thanks Dave. When I finish with my truck, I want it to look like Anthony's with his neat 18" rims, a 89% converter and 3200 spring. Right now the truck hauls buns with only the mods in my signature! All my buddies with gas trucks tell me what a fast "sled" my truck is! I can only imagine after tightening the tranny and more rpms! I'm trying to find someone in the southern cal area that knows these pumps.

Good luck finding someone like that. I think your best bet is right here at dtr, online! If you need assistance, I would gladly help you with your pump. I'm not a diesel mechanic but I am an FAA certified aircraft powerplant mechanic

I appreciate that! Right now it's going to be front springs, rims, tires, paint, torque converter and finally 3200 rpm spring. With gas prices the way they are, I think I'll fix up the ol' girl and hold onto her for at least 5 more years!

Brad.

Hey brad, the spring sounds a lot harder than it really is, it took me 2 hrs to install and under $25 for the spring. the only part thats not real clear (for me anyways) was the throttle shaft dissasembly and reindexing it. just take all the parts of it off 1 at a time, and the marks should be at 10 and 4 .I popped the whole arm, spring.and washers off at one time if you print the tech artical out so its in front of you it will be a piece of cake.
PS. a second pair of hands will make taking the spring off a lot easyer,I inlisted the help of my 11 year old for 5 min.

Thanks Robert. Yea the indexing the throttle shaft sounds a little like something that could get messed up real easily by me! did I understand that you also have to loosen up the pump and rotate it away from the engine too? Did you just mark a line for reference to rotate it back when you were finished? Seems like so much crap to take off just to get to the spring! I'll order it and give it a shot.
