Re:Glow Plugs?

My friend has a ford pre-powerstroke international diesel and the glow plugs are toast. He uses just about anything to get it started, wd40, ether, whatever. Mike works as a grip in the movies (see his name as best boy grip on new Eddie Murphy film I Spy) One day he had no ether or wd40 so he went to the hair/make up trailer borrowed some "Streaks and Tips" from the hair dresser to start the thing up.

Re:Glow Plugs?

glow plugs are junk but so is my grid heater. think i need a new relay. one wire stays hot at all times the other works good. so far no starting problems other than the infamous white smoke problem.

Re:Glow Plugs?

Right now I just wish mine would start. I really don't care about smoke If it starts I'm happy.

Re:Glow Plugs?

BigBlackDodge is absolutely correct, no glow plugs. There is a grid heater in the intake.
