Just got off the phone with Lannings (10:15PM) The truck is finished. He said with the new Revo TNT in the truck it sets sideways in 4WD at the 2nd gear shift. He also says it smokes more than his 12 valve.
He was a little nervous I went with the tight converter but says that it drives great and I should be very happy with it. I'm going back out on Wed. after work to pick it up, so I will be at Island this Fri. as a driver and not a spectator.

That sounds pretty monstrous there Angelo, have you talked to Lannings about any kind of statement of what they found in the trans on teardown? Might not hurt yours and Gary's case to have some kind of report to go along with the parts/pictures.
Man, I really wish I could make it down to Island in time to see you guys running, should be a pretty good show this time around

on a side note, the Wolverine is basically done, just need to finish painting the front bumper, reinstall it, and some other little odds and ends

Hey guys, I posted a thread in the 3rd Gen Engine/Drivetrain forum about a small issue with the truck. Maybe you guys can help me and the shop figure out whats wrong with it.

Pat I'm going to talk to them about just that when I go to pick it up. I don't know how they feel about it though. I was wondering if I went to court if I could get them to do a notorized deposition.
I just can't wait to just get the truck back.
I will post how it feels after I get it back home tommorow night. Can't wait for Friday night!

Tom, IDK what to tell you about the truck, hard to diagnose stuff when you aren't right there, let alone when you have no idea where to start Best of luck to you with it though.

Sounds good Angelo, definitely would make for a sttronger case to have written testimony of a certified mechanic. What time do you guys plan on heading to Island Friday? Gonna try like hell to get there, but IDK

I may head up to Island, but it won't be until late. Have a dinner to go to with some friends from work, being that the school year is over next week.

Just got home. Trans feels real good! I think I'm really gonna like the lockup switch and the tighter stall converter is perfect and I would'nt want it any looser. The truck really pulls on the bottom end.

Lannings has agreed to sign an affidavit and if need be testify in court if I pay for a days pay which I thought was more than fair. I got all of the old parts back with tons of pictures. Even got pictures of the new parts going in. They are truely good people and I'm glad I went with them. They are going to talk to Dave G and when he cuts the old converter apart they are going to have him take pictures. I'd like to see if it's a tripple disk or if they stuck a single in there. Dave is also going to disect the valve body and see if he can figure out what was going on there. Then it will be time to pay a little visit to my friends down the street.

I just got my new fire jacket in the mail so I'm ready for Friday night. I should be there at 6:00 to tech in. I can't wait!
